True Facts about my go to Styling products

If you’re a stylist you know there are your favorites products and then your not so favorites. Every product line tries to create similar products, but they never can produce the same outcome.  I started my career  using Wella and Sebastian styling products, I then moved to a salon that used Redken and Pureology products and now to a whole different salon with completely different products. As I move through my career I bring alittle bit  The salon I work for only retails certain brands as well as certain lines from the brands; Davines, Bumble & Bumble, Colorproof, Moroccan Oil, and the Forever blonde line of Paul Mitchell. We will also be carrying Diamond Oil by Redken very soon. I am a commission stylist, we use the product provided as well as retail it.

First lets start with the primer hairdresser_invisible_oil_primer

Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Primer. This is one of the hottest items in the salon, we cant even keep it on our shelves. I am 100% in love with this product. It acts as so many thing; it’s a detangler, a leave-in conditioner, a UVA/UVB protectant, AND a heat protectant. Its designed to not only fill the hair cuticle so less product is used but it also helps the style last longer almost like an eyeshadow primer does to eyeshadow.  Living in Bend, you spend a lot of time outdoors, I recommend every one gets this product and tries it. You wont be sorry.  It is infused with 6 lightweight essential oils Grape seed oil, safflower see oil, sweet almond oil, macadamia nut oil, argan oil and coconut oil.  Bumble & bumble Experts recommend this product is used on medium to coarse or brittle hair, I do like to spray a little in my hands and spread through the finer and thinner hair just to give them that little boost.

How to: Spray on damp or dry hair comb through and then proceed with styling.

Lets move on to the Volume:

volu mistI’ve run into very few who don’t appreciate volume like I do. One product I cant live without is the  Davines Volu Volume boosting mist, As soon as I started using this product, I knew it was a must have for me at the salon. What is  awesome about it, YOU CAN USE IT ON ALL HAIR TYPES [ i’m all about that].  Infused with alfalfa extracts and wheat proteins, this product is one of the top sellers at the salon.

How to: Spray on  wet hair. Do not Rinse, blow dry.

Lets smooth it down alittle:

The first product I ever fell in love with at Tangerine,  the “This is Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid”. I like to blow-out hair, its therapy for me, I cant help it. So when I found a product that creates a sleek shiny look effortlessly, I became attuned. This product is another product that can be used on ANY HAIR TYPE. Its super light but moisturizing at the same time. The is my go to product especially on the curly, overly dry, fuzzy hair. This will transform any wild untamed look to a sexy sleek look.

How to: Apply a small  amount to damp hair and proceed with styling. Depending on hair density, length, and desired effect apply between 4g and 8g of product

Last but most certainly not least:

diamond oil

I worshipped this Product from my last salon, and I’m the reason its coming soon to my new salon.  Diamond Oil Shatterproof shine by Redken. This product can transform dry brittle hair with just a little drop daily. The hybrid oil contains coriander oil, apricot oil, and sunflower oil which are needed for visibly healthy hair.   I have everyone in my family using diamond oil, my mom has fine hair, my sister has medium / coarse hair and they both have seen a difference. Not only does this oil moisturize it strengthens and reinforces the hair for smoother healthier hair protecting against damage. What I love about this oil is not only the bottle [ I’m a female, what female doesn’t love the beautiful bottle] but it smells wonderful and lasts forever [ okay.. forever is an exaggeration, but you shouldn’t have to replace this oil for up to a year. unless you’re me… I spill things a lot]. Less is more in this aspect.

How to: Apply 2-3 drops to mid length and ends.  Warm the oil in your hands before applying to hair.

Overnight treatment: Apply to damp or dry hair prior to bed time

Pre Blow Dry: Apply to towel dried hair prior to styling products apply to driest area of hair first

On dry hair: apply to dry hair starting at frizziest most distressed areas first, then work remainder of product through hair.

On Dry Skin and scalp: apply oil on hands and scalp as needed to reduce dry skin
