Fall at my house!

Alright so I might of had fall up since August… sue me. ( In my defense, its only because we got a new table and I was to anxious to decorate it.  Since this is my first house/ apartment I don’t have very many decorations, and I have been collecting as I have been going. A little here and a little there.   fall2

My favorite thing about fall is hands down the scents. The pumpkins, the fall harvests and all of the bakery scents. When I come home and candles are lit and the fall colors nourish my surroundings I feel like I belong there.

I guess I was just born to be a fall princess.

Pumpkin Muffins

What you need:

1 box of Yellow cake mix                                   Preheat oven to 350

1 can ( 15oz) pumpkin puree                            Prepare time: Max 10 minutes

2 tsp Pumpkin Pie seasoning                          Cook time: 20 minutes

Semi sweet chocolate chips                              Total time: 30 minutes

Combine all of the ingredients  (literally that easy) into mixing bowl.

Mix together until its completely blended, very sticky mixture.

We filled the cups 2/3rds full of batter and filled 18 cups.

The chocolate chips are optional, but we put semi sweet chocolate chips on top of a few muffins. You can put walnuts, raisins, or pecans on top or in the batter as well. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

As you can see the muffins didn’t raise that much, but boy were they tasty.

I said “YES” to a dress

Thank you to the wonderful team at  Ania Collections  for helping me find my dream dress.

People have told me  “when you know, you know”… I knew. She pulled it out of the bag  and I instantly started to get emotional. (I can’t give away the dress details … Duhhhh) I put the dress on and on came the waterworks… I did of course continue to try dresses on and nothing made me feel the way I did in the “said dress”. We retried the favorites and  as soon as i put the “said dress” back on, I just knew. I felt like Belle from Beauty and the Beast when she was in the library in her beautiful yellow ball gown.

Excuse the photo cropping/quality (cropping and blowing up an already low quality image doesn’t do it justice) I wanted to show my emotions without giving the dress away!!

Thank you so much Momma, papa and Oregon for coming with me and supporting me and being “My People”. This was a huge day for me and I wouldn’t of wanted anyone else to join with me.  I feel so blessed to be able to share this opportunity with my best friend and my parents.

Now to Celebrate

Happy Anniversary (2 weeks early)

One Year Later

I receive my first gun, Remington 870 Express.

Boo was super excited for to give me this new gun, he couldn’t wait so he surprised me 2 weeks early.

I’ve already heard it, “Lean Forward”. We still need to cut 2″ off the stock because it is just too long.

(p.s those pink shells aren’t mine they are Boo’s)

Needless to say, we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon out at COSSA Range , and we finally took our new 2006 Jeep Commander off road.

Simple Life My way

Hoarder?… where? oh yeah thats me…  I am a self proclaimed amateur hoarder who is trying to simplify life.

The Dollar Store has been the biggest help for me.

I spent $15 dollars for a bunch of bins to help organize my life.

Before and After of my hall closet. just the few bins I used helped control my outrageous amount of  things. I also went through and got rid of a lot of extra stuff I didn’t need or weren’t going to use. My inner hoarder has a hard time getting rid of a lot of sentimental things, as well as getting rid of doubles because

“What if it breaks and I need to replace it”

“What happens when I am in the middle of cooking and I run out of this”

I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest and getting extremely motivated by different boards. A few of my favorite organizational pins are

How to De-Clutter Your Entire Life (number 10 helps in every aspect)

72 Ideas to Simplify Your Life  “Always ask: Will this simplify my life? If the answer is no, reconsider.”

Clutter-Free Forever This is one of my favorites

A majority of posts say some of the same stuff, but its the little bit of info that they add personally that makes the pages vastly different.

Before we have a lot of stuff going on, there isn’t that much of a difference in the cabinets besides organization, I feel that the more spices, the more condiments and ingredients you have the better your food is.

“Season Everything with Love”

This before drives me crazy looking at it now. So un-organized and just everything everywhere.  _DSC0002

All this house has needed since we’ve moved in is a-little bit of TLC, and doing so on a budget. Between these 3 spaces I have about 2 garbage bags and 2 boxes for goodwill. This simple life not only de-clutters the house but it also helps de-clutter the mind.

For awhile I was a coupon-er ( and I might get back into it), so I had stock piles that had taken over the little space I had, I am finally starting to ween down the stock pile and only get to what we will actually use. Coupon-ing is fun, but very time consuming. Its almost as if I had a part time job on top of my full time job. Until next time-

True Facts about my go to Styling products

If you’re a stylist you know there are your favorites products and then your not so favorites. Every product line tries to create similar products, but they never can produce the same outcome.  I started my career  using Wella and Sebastian styling products, I then moved to a salon that used Redken and Pureology products and now to a whole different salon with completely different products. As I move through my career I bring alittle bit  The salon I work for only retails certain brands as well as certain lines from the brands; Davines, Bumble & Bumble, Colorproof, Moroccan Oil, and the Forever blonde line of Paul Mitchell. We will also be carrying Diamond Oil by Redken very soon. I am a commission stylist, we use the product provided as well as retail it.

First lets start with the primer hairdresser_invisible_oil_primer

Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Primer. This is one of the hottest items in the salon, we cant even keep it on our shelves. I am 100% in love with this product. It acts as so many thing; it’s a detangler, a leave-in conditioner, a UVA/UVB protectant, AND a heat protectant. Its designed to not only fill the hair cuticle so less product is used but it also helps the style last longer almost like an eyeshadow primer does to eyeshadow.  Living in Bend, you spend a lot of time outdoors, I recommend every one gets this product and tries it. You wont be sorry.  It is infused with 6 lightweight essential oils Grape seed oil, safflower see oil, sweet almond oil, macadamia nut oil, argan oil and coconut oil.  Bumble & bumble Experts recommend this product is used on medium to coarse or brittle hair, I do like to spray a little in my hands and spread through the finer and thinner hair just to give them that little boost.

How to: Spray on damp or dry hair comb through and then proceed with styling.

Lets move on to the Volume:

volu mistI’ve run into very few who don’t appreciate volume like I do. One product I cant live without is the  Davines Volu Volume boosting mist, As soon as I started using this product, I knew it was a must have for me at the salon. What is  awesome about it, YOU CAN USE IT ON ALL HAIR TYPES [ i’m all about that].  Infused with alfalfa extracts and wheat proteins, this product is one of the top sellers at the salon.

How to: Spray on  wet hair. Do not Rinse, blow dry.

Lets smooth it down alittle:

The first product I ever fell in love with at Tangerine,  the “This is Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid”. I like to blow-out hair, its therapy for me, I cant help it. So when I found a product that creates a sleek shiny look effortlessly, I became attuned. This product is another product that can be used on ANY HAIR TYPE. Its super light but moisturizing at the same time. The is my go to product especially on the curly, overly dry, fuzzy hair. This will transform any wild untamed look to a sexy sleek look.

How to: Apply a small  amount to damp hair and proceed with styling. Depending on hair density, length, and desired effect apply between 4g and 8g of product

Last but most certainly not least:

diamond oil

I worshipped this Product from my last salon, and I’m the reason its coming soon to my new salon.  Diamond Oil Shatterproof shine by Redken. This product can transform dry brittle hair with just a little drop daily. The hybrid oil contains coriander oil, apricot oil, and sunflower oil which are needed for visibly healthy hair.   I have everyone in my family using diamond oil, my mom has fine hair, my sister has medium / coarse hair and they both have seen a difference. Not only does this oil moisturize it strengthens and reinforces the hair for smoother healthier hair protecting against damage. What I love about this oil is not only the bottle [ I’m a female, what female doesn’t love the beautiful bottle] but it smells wonderful and lasts forever [ okay.. forever is an exaggeration, but you shouldn’t have to replace this oil for up to a year. unless you’re me… I spill things a lot]. Less is more in this aspect.

How to: Apply 2-3 drops to mid length and ends.  Warm the oil in your hands before applying to hair.

Overnight treatment: Apply to damp or dry hair prior to bed time

Pre Blow Dry: Apply to towel dried hair prior to styling products apply to driest area of hair first

On dry hair: apply to dry hair starting at frizziest most distressed areas first, then work remainder of product through hair.

On Dry Skin and scalp: apply oil on hands and scalp as needed to reduce dry skin

Date Night in Hunting Season

Boo found a beautiful little stream while hunting earlier this morning and wanted to bring me on a little picnic. We brought a premade sandwich (we are all about making life easier if you couldn’t tell) and we went for alittle picnic.

We got to enjoy our sandwich, our cookies, nature and the birds and the bees (literally).

Needless to say, we had a phenomenal night out at Todd Lake. We endured the rough terrain and saw alot of exciting things, Including a Cadillac that probably destroyed its undercarriage. We made it home safely with very few deer sightings as we would of liked but still had an incredible time. Thank you Boo <3

It was a great ending to a very rough day! Waking up with a splitting Migraine and having to pass on hunting because you couldn’t bare the sight of light or couldn’t stant to hear any noise… I will say that Boo left hunting early to sleep on the couch with me, I am one hell of a lucky girl .
